In an era yet-to-happen, the Metaverse dictates relationships, currency, social status and happiness. Most people create avatar of themselves, selling what is considered precious: their identity, and time. Virtual imagery, augmented reality and visual impulses are totally detached from the material extraction and emissions all this technology requires.

Data are extremely energy consuming. Some people want to disrupt this uncooperative technology, creating tools to fight against it. The solutions are DIY efforts, through Arduino computing and sensors, to get back in touch with the physicality of the world and get into a mindful state. Through an anachronistic aesthetic, the object refers to an image of technology that once was in science fiction books - posing the question - are we living inside a science fiction world?
